We stand as witnesses to the extraordinary courage and strength among the people and communities of Ukraine. While missiles are taking lives and demolishing homes, schools, hospitals and workplaces, the indestructible sense of identity and solidarity of the Ukrainian people stand tall for the world to see. These will be the building blocks for a new and better day.
The suffering is heartbreaking and the impacts of trauma run deep. Humanitarian assistance must include mental health and psychosocial support. As part of the global community, Worldmaker stands ready to do all we can to support mental health and resilience over the long haul, now and once the war is over. The way back will be a journey with many ups and downs. Ultimately, we believe that Ukrainians and democracy can and will emerge stronger.
We appreciate how members of our Worldmaker community live from a place of our shared humanity and understand that you are processing many emotions as you witness the immense suffering in Ukraine — and in other areas of war, conflict, oppression and disaster.
May you use your heartbreak as fuel to make our world a more peaceful and just place for all. Do reach out for assistance or partnership. We are here to help.
